Faces of Holi

Posted on 11:05 by Unknown

Holi, known as the festival of colours, is a religious festival celebrated by Hindus in India, Nepal, Banglaesh and Pakistan, marking the change of seasons. The celebrations are held at the end of the winter and the start of the new spring season. Bonfires burn bright and Hindus celebrate in hope of a good years harvest and to mark the day colours are liberally thrown at one another and also at any foreigner within easy reach! Below are some portraits of festival goers in Maharashtra.
